Christmas is Coming!

Last weekend was our Church's Annual Christmas Party. This year, I organized the whole thing. We picked the theme of "Toy land". It is a lot of fun. Everyone comes to the church and goes into one of our huge classrooms and has appetizers and pictures. Then, they head into the auditorium for dinner. In the auditorium we set up 30 round tables that seat 8 people each. We got ladies from church to decorate one table each with their Christmas stuff. It is so fun to see every ones Christmas plates and decorations. We eat dinner, have entertainment and good fellowship. It was a ton of work and I'm so glad its over. Here is what the stage looked like:

This weekend was much more relaxed! On Friday night, Cade went hunting with Grant. Becky, Shannon, and myself took the opportunity to have a girls night. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory and then walked across the square to DSW to shoe shop. I always love spending time with those girls! On Saturday night we went to my J. Hilburn Christmas Party. I didn't know as many people there as I thought I would but it was good to get to see the girls on my team and introduce them to Cade. On Sunday morning I skipped church (shhhhh) to go to the White Rock Marathon in downtown Dallas. Shannon was running the half marathon. She did great and even beat her goal time! Good Job Shannon! Originally I was supposed to be seeing Becky run the full marathon too but she broke her foot a few weeks ago :( I also got to see Lindsay and Robert there too as Robert ran the half marathon too!

On Sunday night, the young married group at church got together to decorate gingerbread houses. It was fun but Cade and I are not so creative and our house looked awful :) It was great to get to spend some time with our friends!

I'm looking forward to the next few weeks. I love this time of year!! This week my Dad is having his 60th birthday!! wow!! This weekend the Mauldin Family is coming in town to celebrate Christmas. And in the next few weeks we will get to go to see the Rockettes for Nanny's birthday, celebrate Christmas Day with my Family, and spend the Saturday after Christmas with Cade's family. I'm so excited!!
