Thanksgiving and Such

On Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, Cade and I met Lindsay and Robert in Grapevine for some Mexican food and New Moon. We had so much fun. It was wonderful to get to catch up on their lives and spend some time together. Linds and I loved the movie. Please take note how totally awesome we are in the picture below wearing our New Moon T-shirts! Cade and Robert did laugh at us as well as the movie :)
Me and Linds and New Moon

This year we spent Thanksgiving at Cade's parents house. Everyone was there. Debbie and Nanny did the best job cooking- it was awesome! Of course all of us girls brought something too. We are around 12:30 and then played dominoes all afternoon until we got hungry for turkey again. Cade and I did play with all our nieces and nephews for a little while. We were in the back bedroom playing with some blocks that Debbie keeps in a Tupperware bin. The boys wanted to see if we could get in the bin, here Cade is totally stuck in it. Summer and I both had to help him get out! haha

On Friday, Cade went to his Aunt and Uncles to play more dominoes and I got to spend a little time shopping and with my Mom. I didn't really buy anything but was totally amazed at the crazy shoppers. maybe when I have kids someday and they really want something I'll understand getting up so early to save $2 on something. In the evening, my Mom and I went to Downtown McKinney where they have the Dickens of Christmas. All the little shops are open and there is music, food, lights, and decor. All the people who work in downtown dress up like old time Dickens era attire. We also watched the McKinney tree lighting.

On Saturday, I put up my own tree. This is one of my favorite things to do. I absolutely love Christmas and this just makes my house so wonderful during this time of year.
My Tree

Today was back to the grind. I had a lot to catch up on for work. I did get to go downtown and see one of my friends new baby that she had yesterday- that is always a joy. I'm in the middle of planning our church's annual Christmas party and it is totally stressing me out!! I want everything to be perfect so I'm off to begin decorating!

On a sad note, thanks so all my friends who have prayed for my Brother's Mother-in-law. She went on home to be with the Lord this morning. My heart breaks for Holly and Matt today. It is times like this that I am thankful for the promise we have in Jesus and it gives me a sense of joy knowing that she believed in that promise, and has her place in heaven.
