Christmas Day

This year was my Mom and Dad's year to have Christmas Day. Cade and I got up on Christmas Day and did our stockings. Stockings are my very favorite thing, there was all kinds of fun things in it this year. Cade and I didn't exchange gifts because we got each other 1 big gift. I bought Cade some new suits to wear to work and Cade bought me a beautiful desk. It is the hutch and credenza that go up against the wall. It will go in my front room where Cade's piano will be someday.
After having a little time just for us, we went to Mom and Dad's. My Mom made turkey and dressing and all the fixings for lunch. It was so yummy! After we ate we taught my mom and dad how to play canasta. Cade and Dad won. Later we went to see Sherlock Holmes and we loved it. Went back to the house and had homemade stew and cornbread and played more canasta and dominoes. It was a wonderful Christmas! Since Matt and Holly couldn't make it, we plan on opening all our gifts on Friday so I have more Christmas to come.

On Sunday, we had all of Cade's family over to our house to celebrate Christmas. We cooked out filet's on the grill and I made twice-baked potatoes, corn, salad, green bean bundles, and bread. Then we had a Thompson Family Talent Show. It was absolutely hilarious. My brother-in-law video taped all of it so hopefully I'll be able to share some of it. His family just did gifts for all the kids this year so we watched the kids open gifts and play forever! That took up most of the day so then it was time to watch the cowboys. It was a great day!

I have been so bad about taking pictures but Cade says we are getting a new camera soon so hopefully I'll get better :) I'll have some to share soon. Merry Christmas!
