This weekend Cade and I went to Abilene for ACU Homecoming. I always love being back in Abilene! Cade left on Thursday so him and some friends could play in the Alumni Golf Tournament on Friday. I came down on Friday with Shara and we met the boys at Lytle for dinner. On Saturday we got up super early and went to our club breakfasts. It was great to get to see some of my girlfriends. I do have to say..although I won't get on my soap box..but ACU has changed the pledging process so much that it makes me upset that the girls don't get the same experience that the rest of us did the last 50 years. If you can't tell I think ACU is making a huge mistake by taking away these long traditions! OK enough of that. Went then went to the parade and the Kojie won the float this year- good job NuNu's (oh wait I can't call you a NuNu anymore). We ate lunch with Cade's family and attended the football game. I was so sad that ACU lost. Nanny and Papa live in Abilene now so we spend Saturday night hanging out at their place with the family. I got to eat Rosa's for dinner- yum!!
It was great to go back and see friends and family. One of my favorite reasons for being back in Abilene though is that it reminds me of the time I spent in school and all the great experiences I had- including falling in love with Cade. It reminds me how lucky and thankful I am to have him!
