Book Review: For Women Only

Of course I'm still stuck on vampire books. I think the last 4 series I've read have been vampire themed: I love it. But, in a few quite moments over the last month I have been reading "For Women Only" by Shaunti Feldhahn. I happen to have been browsing in Christian book section one day and this book caught my eye with the catchy title and bright cover. I read the back of the book and it sounded really good so I got it. Now that I've read it, I'm so glad I did.
The main premise of the book is to describe how men think. She goes into great detail about what men think about important subjects, why they think that, and most importantly, how that can affect your relationship with him. She conducted a national survey of all different kinds of men from all different places, interviewed thousands of men, and used her research to write the book.
I feel like I learned a lot from this book but I was also very encouraged to learn that I already knew a lot more about Cade that I thought and most importantly, I do (or do not do) a lot of the top things that men wish women knew. I also realized that having the best man in the world as my husband makes it easy. They are:
  • He needs respect in public and in private
  • Although he likes it this way, his need to provide weighs on him heavily
  • Sex is how he shows love and emotion
  • He really does WANT to be romantic
  • Guys are visual and although they may NEVER say it- how we look does matter to the
To get the gory details, get the book. It's great! Lastly, thanks to my wonderful husband who does share with me what is important to him to help our relationship grow. By the way, who wouldn't want to respect, love, and take care of the man who takes care of me, loves me unconditionally, is super duper HOT, can fix or do anything, and is the smartest person I know!
