Dallas Zoo and Park

This week was Spring Break so the whole Thompon Clan of girls and our kids went to the Zoo.  It was Myself, my Mother in Law, and both my Sister in Laws and all 6 of the Thompson kids.  This was Finn's first Zoo trip and he had so much fun.  He has been in love with his animal books and sounds for a long time now but I was waiting for the weather to be nice.  He especially loves elephants and went crazy when he finally got to see them in real life.  He was so good and it was such a joy to see him discover new things. Here is our trip in pictures:

When we got to the elephants, he was so happy and mesmerized that I couldn't get him to look away from them for a picture.

Checking out the elephants.  Pure joy!

Just acting silly

I think he had so much fun that I'm going to have to schedule another zoo trip soon.
On Friday night, we got the whole Thompson family together at the park to play and hang out.  We packed our dinners and all the kids brought their bikes and scooters and in Finn's case, his mini- 4wheeler.  He had a blast!

Happy to have freedom.  He doesn't get to ride this much at home because it needs lots of room to turn.

since Daddy was here to help us, Finn got to go down all the big-boy slides

Me and my Sweet Baby!  Excuse how terrible I look, I've been playing outside all day :)
Although most would consider me a girly-girl with my purses and high heels, I'm learning more every day how great it is that deep down, I'm outdoorsy and sporty because this boy is gonna give me a run for my money.  At least I should be tan this summer.   Love him!!
