Christmas was wonderful this year. A few weeks before Christmas we met at Cade's family ranch for his big Thompson Christmas. It was fun to get away and relax with the family and eat and play games. That was the same weekend as my extended Mauldin family Christmas so I spent one afternoon in Abilene with my family. We got to spend Christmas day in town at my parents house. I was happy to be home because Finn and I were both really sick and generally unhappy. Even through Finn's yucky eyes and tears he spotted his new Cozy Coupe under the tree and ran to get in it. It just melted my heart. We didn't get Finn much beside that car and lots of goodies and an outfit in his stocking since he got so much from family. He got lots of books, a ride on truck (which he loves), a golf set that he is surprisingly good at, a rolling activity center, pajamas, and lots of little things. He banked this year. After Christmas I took him to the doctor and the poor thing has had a double ear infection as well as his cold moving into his eyes. Thankfully we are now all feeling much better. Here are some pics of our wonderful time:
We attended the Christmas Tree Lighting in Downtown McKinney and here are Cade and Finn in the petting zoo. Finn had fun seeing the animals, in the protection of his daddy of course. |
At my Mom and Dad's house this is Matt reading to Finn and Haylee |
Finn is wearing his Reindeer ears |
This is Cade's Mom reading to all her grand babies. Of course Finn got prime seating for the book. Reading is his favorite thing ever! |
Finn did really great at opening his gifts this year |
He got a ride-on car and his cousin, Kinsley, wanted to steal it. |
This is Christmas morning at our house. Santa brought him a car. Finn was very sick on Christmas day. |
