17 Months

OK, I'm finally over my anger.  Last week I wrote the longest post ever and had tons of pictures uploaded and something went wrong with Blogger and it was all gone so here is a shortened version.  I'm so unhappy with blogger, its impossible!  My Baby is no baby any longer.  He was 17 months old and he walks, runs, and talks like a little boy now.  Here are his pics:

17 Months

Giving Stan a hug (stan hates this)

  •  In his 17th month my poor Finn was really sick again.  After he got over his cold and double ear infection in the 16th month, he then got Hand Foot and Mouth.  You can even see some of the sores around his mouth in his pictures.  He got a 103 temperature and felt terrible.  He literally slept and laid in my lap all day long (and he is never still that long).  It took a whole week before he started to feel better.
  • He weighs 26 pounds and is still wearing size 18 month clothes, 24 month pjs, and size 4 diaper.  His pants are beginning to get to short :)
  • Finn got to spend 5 days with his Nana and Pops this month while we went skiing in Vail which will be a whole entire post.  He did great of course and came home making elephant noises, signing "all done" and screaming just for fun.
  • He is becoming so much better at communicating.  He isn't saying a whole lot of new words however he is making great facial expressions, babbling, pointing, and showing me exactly what he is talking about.  One thing is for sure, he knows exactly what he wants.
  • He has been sleeping through the night like a champ.  He usually sleeps from 8:00 to about 5:30 (yes, thats early) and then he takes one two-hour nap.
  • He still loves to eat and eats ALL the time.  He is great with his fruits and veggies and breads but I wish he would eat more meat.  He does ok but would rather eat other things.
  • Our major issue right now is that I can't get him to drink milk out of a sippy cup.  I've tried a ton of diffrent kinds and he just doesn't like it.  He loves milk but only out of a bottle which we only do in the morning and before bed.  I'm afraid to just cut him off because then he won't get the milk.  We've got to figure this out!
Also this month Finn's best friend, Tyler, turned one.  He had a super cute 'Mustache Bash' party where all the kids wore ties and mustaches.  Well, some kids wore mustaches but Finn wouldn't.  Here is my precious little man in his tie:
