Finn's 5 Months Old, and lots of other things

I have no idea how you other Moms do it!!  I just can't keep up with my blog right now!  Maybe its because my child never sleeps and needs attention all the time :)
So I never updated again after last months doctors appointment.  Finn is tall and skinny just like his mom and dad.  He is in the 45th percentile for weight and the 91st for height.  I just laughed at that.  Since his 4 month check up though we have been adding foods to his diet.  He eats rice, oatmeal, squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes.  I introduced peas the other day and he hates them so much that he won't even swallow them, he just gags.  Tonight he is going to have green beans.  I would bet in the last month he has gained two more pounds.  He feels like a chunk and he eats all the time.  He is so much happier now that he is fuller.  I am loving the stage he is in right now.  He is wanting to sit up all the time and can do it by himself for a minute or so before he falls over.  He talks all the time and is quite opinionated.  He puts everything in his mouth right now and I think he might be teething.  He sleeps upstairs in his crib now even though he doesn't really want to.  Last night he slept for 7 1/2 hours, that's the longest stretch so far (of course that was after it took me 2 hours to get him to sleep).  Here is my precious son yesterday for his 5 month pics:
This picture makes me laugh.  It is so obvious that Stan doesn't want to be there, he is hiding.  Finn grabs his hair sometimes now so he wasn't thrilled about sitting by him.  Also notice how my sign is all messed up--Finn tried to eat it!
We had such a great Christmas this year.  We celebrated first with my family and then Cade's family came to our house.  It was great to be with family and have Cade home from work for a while.  My mom and dad got me a new set of silverware and some new brown boots.  I was so excited!!  Finn got new toys and clothes that he really needed.  He is so tall now that he is out growing everything he had. Cade and I didn't buy each other gifts this year (we got each other a child this year-haha)  We figured we buy ourselves things we want all year long so we would just buy for others for Christmas.  Of course we did stockings, they are my favorite!

Cade and Finn about to open presents. Finn LOVES his daddy!
Me and my furry baby, I can't leave him out.  He is wearing his super cute Christmas sweater :)

We also had a great New Years.  We were invited by Cade's cousin out to their family ranch.  We spent 3 days just relaxing, playing games, eating, and spending time together.  Of course this week Finn has been kind of crazy since he was off his schedule and I'm trying to get him to sleep upstairs all night by himself.
I'm really looking forward to this coming year.  I can't believe its already 2011! I'm loving being home with my child.  I'm loving working on my J Hilburn business and I plan to grow it this year.  I'm loving my husband more and more each day, if that's possible.  I love that all my clothes fit again and I feel totally back to normal again.  I just feel richly blessed and have everything to look forward to this year.  Maybe I'll have more time to blog...
