The painting begins

This weekend, my sweet husband began the painting process on my baby room.  A few years ago we painted that bedroom a dark blue and used it as an office.  I loved the blue we used however it was so dark that the first thing we did was prime.  My Mom and Dad came over for a while to help get everything ready and tape so I wouldn't have to do too much.  Here is my precious husband, doesn't he look like he is having a blast!?!:
We finished all the priming.  I have ordered fabric swatches from the bedding I'm going to register for to help me pick paint colors and they haven't arrived yet.  I know for sure that I would like stripes.  I want them to be subtle stripes where they are almost the same color or even the same color with one stripe being a flat paint and one stripe being a glossy paint.  Because of this we are thinking about hiring someone to actually paint them for us since we are in a hurry.  My baby furniture came in 6 weeks early and they are waiting on me to let them deliver it.  Of course I'm super excited to get it in.
Also this weekend, I finally felt like summer is here.  Last night for small group we cooked out and sat on the back porch by the pool.  The weather was so beautiful and it was really refreshing to just sing and fellowship and enjoy each other's company while praising our God.  I feel like I have been so blessed by my small group this year!
Tonight I have my monthly book club.  This month we read 'The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie' by Alan Bradley.  I really enjoyed this book.  It was a murder mystery told by the perspective of an eleven year old girl who is witty, smart, and lovingly mischievous.  I really enjoyed reading this one.
Because I have book club tonight, I'll be missing the Greenville Oaks softball season finale playoff game.  Shout out to all of our boys!

I don't know why, but I absolutely love this post! I think it's because all these great things are coming to you right now and I am so happy for you and Cade! I can't wait to see the nursery all completed!

I have LOVED our small group this year. You know we didn't even all sign up to be together so it is funny how God works. I can lend a hand anyday with nursery decor...give me a call...I'm a great picture hanger!
