A bunch of stuff

Every time I post something I feel like I have so much to say because I am so behind! I have a ton of random thoughts to share today.

The last few weeks have been packed full of fun things. We have gotten to hang out with my Brother-in-laws and Sister-in-laws without their kids in the last two weekends. We LOVE our nieces and nephews but we realized we hadn't gotten to hang out with Summer & Brad or Cody & Robyn once without kids since they had them- that's been four years!! Subsequently, we have eaten out a lot lately at some really fun places.

Last Monday I got to work out with one of my friends who is a personal trainer. On Friday, I was still sore! Haha. I love to work out, I love to run which is ironic because in high school I was in track but I hated long distances (I was a sprinter). I also love to go to spin class, where I ride a stationary bike for an hour. I didn't realize how much of my muscles I haven't been using. ahhhh!!

This weekend was very relaxing. I got to finish the 8th book in the Dead Until Dark Series. After reading Twilight I decided to read this other vampire series. I have really enjoyed it. I was kind of hoping this would be the last book in the series, it was obvious though that there will be more, the story line didn't end.

OK, this is totally random but I must share: Last night I was out walking my little tiny dog, Stan. I turned the corner and a man was walking his two huge dogs. One was a black lab and the other was a golden retriever. By the time I got within about 20 feet of them I realized they weren't on a leash and the black lab is running at me. I yanked Stan up into my arms and the man yelled at the dog and he stopped about 10 feet from me. I was so ticked off. There really isn't anything I could do if that dog wanted to get Stan. I was so stunned that when he walked by I said "Sorry" but what I should have said was "Get your dogs on a stinking leash"!! I know that is totally random for me to share but it made me furious, my heart nearly jumped out of my chest. I never realized how important a leash was until I owned a 5 pound dog!!

This last week was my Mom's spring break. On Friday we rode the Dart (Dallas' public train) down into downtown Dallas to the Dallas Museum to see the King Tut exhibit. It was so much fun. I'm always glad to get to spend time with my Mom. I think we had just as much fun riding the train as we did at the museum. Since we were coming home at 5pm we spend about 35 minutes on the train and if we drove we would have sat in traffic for probably 2 hours.

On Wednesday night last week I got to go hang out with the youth group from church. Technically I was chaperoning- haha. We just ate pizza and played games. It was a blast- it reminded me of my old youth group days.

On Friday night, we had a girls night with all my girlfriends from church. All we did was bake some frozen pizzas and sit around and talk. I had so much fun though because I don't always get to see them. I love those girls!

Tonight my husband's company is having a share holder meeting. We have people coming in from out of town for this. Cade prepared all day yesterday and he put together a 100 page (or more) bound book for everyone. He totally amazes me how fast he can work and how amazing it always turns out. I'm really excited to meet some of the people he has told me about. I am so proud of him, he works so hard! I have the best husband in the world!

This past weekend, I saw the movie "Twilight." I wanted to ask if you saw the movie as well, or if you are sticking to books only? Another comment I had was how jealous I am of you getting to go to the Tut exhibit. Fun!
