Last night I threw a huge surprise 30th birthday party for my sweet husband!!! I had been planning for about 2 months I was having a really hard time keeping it a secret anymore. I had our good friends the Shivers and Glover's tell Cade they wanted to take him out to dinner at his favorite restaurant in downtown McKinney, Rick's Chophouse. When we got there, Cade's 40 closest friends and family were there. It turned out so great and he was actually a little surprised (although his suspicion had been mounting). There were family and business associates who came in from out of town so that made it even more special. The Chef created a menu just for Cade. This is what we ate:
Field Green Salad, Heirloom Tomatoes, Texas Goat Cheese with Balsamic Vinaigrette, Olive Oil.
Tomatillo Shrimp with soft grits.
Mustard Grilled Pork Loin, Bacon Smashed Potatoes, Garlic Green Beans, Sour Cherry Mustard Demi.
Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Roasted Garlic Smashed Potatoes, Garlic Green Beans and red wine demi.
Then we had a wonderful Chocolate Cake. Of course it had 30 candles!!
