ACU Homecoming

This past weekend we went to Abilene for ACU Homecoming.  I always love homecoming but this year was special because it was Cade's 10 year reunion.  Lots of his friends came and we had a good time seeing everyone.  Cade always plays in the Alumni Golf Tournament on Friday so we went in on Thursday night.  I got to spend the night with my grandparents.  I loved getting to catch up with them and they were very thankful to see Finn and I.  On Friday while Cade golfed, we spent most of the day with the grandparents but I did go up to campus to buy Finn an ACU shirt.  By the way, he has a massive emotional melt down and all the millions of students stared at me.  I was thinking that 8 years ago I would have never imagined that scene happening to me in the campus center (haha). Friday night we stayed with Cade's sister.  We stayed up really late spending time with them (we miss them).
I hope and pray that this picture of my Mom and Dad is still in the campus center when (if) Finn attends ACU.

Kojie Breakfast
Bright and early on Saturday morning I went to Kojie breakfast with one of my best friends, Chels.  Man is was good to hug her neck and see her.  It was also bittersweet that we didn't get to talk more.  Missed her.
After Breakfast, I did get to stop by and hug and kiss her sweet little girl.  Then I headed to the parade.
My little family at the parade.

Finn loved it and sat on daddy's shoulders the whole time.  I think the band and the fire truck was his favorite.
After the parade we looked around campus a little bit and then ate lunch with Cade's family.  Then we headed to the house for naps.  On Saturday night we had Cade's 10 year reunion dinner.  I was glad so many of Cade's friends showed up.  After the dinner a big group of us went to Lytle Land to eat and hang out.
Summer and Brad babysat Finn for us while we were out and Finn feel in love with Aunt Summer.  He has fun painting, driving their car in the back yard, playing outside, and reading with Summer.  (PS- this will be our last pack-n-play trip, he is just too big).

About to leave for reunion dinner.  By the way, I forgot that in West Texas, no one dresses up for anything.  I'll remember this for my reunion :)
We had such a great time!  I am so thankful that I have ACU to share with my husband.  We always talk about what a special place it is to each of us.
