Birthday Weekend

August 10th is a big day in the Thompson household.  It is my Husband's birthday and Finn's birthday.  This year, I tried to celebrate each of them separately but we won't always do that in the future.  On Friday night, Finn got to go spend the night at Nana and Pops house and Cade and I went out to celebrate.  We invited 3 other couples and ate at Ruth Chris.  It was super yummy.  I worked for a long time to make a picture album for his birthday gift.

On Saturday, we had Finn's second birthday party.  We just had a simple party at the park next to our house with cupcakes and ice cream.  The park has a little splash pad the kids got to play in so they were all entertained.  Before the party Finn touched a really hot slide and burned his little hand so he had a rough start to the party but he still had a fun time.  He loves cupcakes so that made him happy and he opened his own gifts.  He was pretty cute if I say so myself.  Finns had a blast playing with all his new toys and I'm excited about his new winter clothes.

On Sunday, we took Finn to the Barnum and Bailey Circus at the American Airlines Center.  It was so fun and I couldn't believe how still and quiet Finn sat.  He was amazed and watched every second of it.  Of Course he loved the elephants and wanted them to come back after their part was over.  I was so proud of him and I had fun too!  I didn't get any good pictures because it was so dark in there.
