23 Months

Is it even possible that Finn is almost two?  Crazy!  As you know, Cade and I were gone for a total of three weeks in the last month and the week I was home I was deathly ill with Strep (or I thought I was).  Because of this, I feel like I can't even explain what he did this month but I do know one thing...my little boy is not so little anymore.  It was like a miracle happened while we were gone and he is talking up a storm!  He also is very aware of "big boy" things.  He won't sit in his highchair, hates to be in his stroller, doesn't want to be confined in any way, doesn't want to wear a bib, is running almost as fast as me, playing make-believe, and understanding everything I say.  It is amazing!!  We have been having so much fun lately playing together and going to the pool, splash park, and playing with friends.  I also must add that he is the sweetest most compassionate little boy.  He hugs all animals, including ones in his books.  He gives great kisses and hugs and will always hug or kiss a boo boo or if he thinks you're hurt, he will kiss you too.  He found a freckle on his foot (like mine) and he thinks its an owie and tries to kiss it.  Ha!!  I think the time away from Cade and I really brought out his independent spirit and has helped him blossom.  He also talks about Daddy all the time.  It melts my heart.  I'm loving every second right now!

The monthly Stan hug

We've been asking him how old he is and he says "two" and holds his fingers like this.  We are practicing for his birthday.

I must add a few pictures from a day this past week when Finn got to spend time with all his cousins on Cade's side of the family.  For the first time, Finn played all day with the other kids and loved it.  He seemed like such a big boy playing with them instead of needing me.

He is all little boy now. What happened to your baby? Mine is quickly dissapearing too. Why do they have to grow so quickly?
