13 Months

When Finn turned 13 months, Cade and I were on our first vacation since Finn was born (which is a whole new post coming soon).  My Mom and Dad kept Finn and they were thoughtful enough to take a picture of him for me on his 13 month day (sorry its fuzzy, I'll have to get a better one):
13 Months

Finn did totally awesome while we were on vacation in Cabo, Mexico.  My parents said he hardly even cried.,  Sounds like he was better for them than for me, haha.
At 13 months:
  • Finn is still wearing his 12 month summer clothes even though they are getting snug, we are looking forward to all our new 18  month size fall and winter clothes.  He is now wearing a size 4 shoe and still a 3 diaper.
  • He still eats a ton and eats all the time.  He is a bottomless pit and loves everything I give him.  He is totally on table food now and no baby food.
  • He started WALKING!!!  It is the cutest thing I have ever seen!
  • He says banana, book, dog, mama, dada, nana, and a whole lot of gibberish.  He is so stubborn though he only says things when he wants to, not on command
  • he points at everything.  I like this because he can tell me exactly what he wants or what he is talking about by pointing at it.
  • He absolutly loves his Nana and Pops (my Mom and Dad) and I love this because it makes me feel good that he enjoys me leaving him with them.
  • He is so busy and moving all the time.  Even in church!
  • He has begun sleeping through the night!  This is the best thing thats happened to me since wine by the glass!!  I feel so much better now that I'm getting a full night of sleep and I think he does too!  He still wakes up about once a week but I'll take it.
  • His hair has gotten so long and has started to grow all over (no more natural mohawk) and he really needs his first haircut.  That should be coming soon.
I've been having so much fun with Finn at this age.  I finally feel like he is a normal baby, not so much a super cranky kid anymore.  I'm so happy that he is past that really hard stage of his life and he is having fun.  I feel so blessed to have him!  Vaca post and pics to come...

Yay! Glad he's doing well. I think all babies still wake up every now and then...mine does. I just expect it all the time so I'm pleasantly surprised most mornings when he wakes up at 5:30! See you soon!

SO cute!! I'm glad he's doing so much better for you too! I also think most kids are ten times better for everyone else, than they are for their Mom. That means you are doing your job right, because they know they can be as rotten as possible and it doesn't matter because you'll love them anyway!! :)
