Halo Shower and My Totally Awesome Husband!!!

We were super busy this weekend but it was so much fun!  On Friday night we had a shower hosted by the lovely ladies below for all our work friends.  We got lots of great stuff and it was wonderful to be able to celebrate with our work peeps.  Thanks to Reif and Meagan for graciously opening their home for us!  Thanks to all my wonderful hostesses, I love yall, and thanks to all of Cade's friends who have blessed our lives during this time!

He has a mouth full of food :)
On Saturday, I woke up early and put away baby things from the night before and we hung my curtains in my nursery.  The room now looks totally awesome (pics to come soon).  Then I prepared for lunch.  Around 10:30, Cade's parents and Cody and Robyn and the kids came over the celebrate Father's Day.  We grilled out burgers and had chips, baked beans, fresh fruit, and a yummy chocolate cake.  We played a little Mexican Train and everyone headed home about 3:00.  After that I hurried to get ready and we left to pick up Reif for our fun night.

This is the part I've been excited to share.  First because my husband is awesome and I don't brag about him much but this gives me perfect opportunity (just don't tell him)!!  Cade was nominated, and then advanced all the way to a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award.  This was such a great honor for him because there were only 38 finalists and it was for the whole entire Southwest Region of the United States.  Yes, I know, my husband is awesome!!!  So, on Saturday night we attended the black tie awards dinner at the Sheraton in downtown Dallas.  Myself, and all of the Executive Team at Halo got to attend:
Paul, Dad, Reif, Cody, Cade, Derek, Tony, Robbie
All of the finalists were in this months issue of D Magazine, check it out http://www.dmagazine.com/Issues/D_CEO_JUL-AUG_2010.aspx. Cade didn't win however we were so honored to be a part of such an elite group of business people.  Cade was by far, the youngest one in the room (and the hottest if I say so myself).  Way to go hon, your totally awesome and I'm so proud of you!!
Lastly, I haven't taken a belly pic in forever.  You've probably never seen a 32 week pregnant woman in a formal dress before so here is my 32 week picture all dressed up for the dinner.  I didn't say it would be hot but I did my best :)
32 weeks
Finally, on Sunday, we went to church and spent the afternoon resting and catching up on some much needed  sleep after our crazy weekend.  Sunday night we had a time of fellowship and singing with our young-marrieds group at church which was a wonderful time together!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
