Memorial Weekend 09

I love Memorial Day weekend. It is the event that always makes me feel like summer has officially begun.
This weekend Cade was invited out of town by Shane Spencer to his families annual hunting/fishing/guy weekend thing. He left on Friday and came home on Saturday night. Since he was gone, I scheduled an 1 1/2 hour massage on Friday night and then went home and read on the couch with some super unhealthy Whataburger (it was awesome). On Saturday I got up, drank coffee on the back porch with Stan and then went to the Byron Nelson golf tournament with one of my best friends Becky and her husband. They wouldn't let us take a camera or cell phone on the course so this picture was right outside the golf course:
We showed up wearing the same shorts! I'm just super tall so mine always look short, its the curse of super long legs!
After the tournament I went home and relaxed, showered, and went over to a friend's house who just moved in a block away from us. Cade came home and joined me. He originally wasn't coming home until Sunday but they changed their mind. Sunday we went to church, lunch, and then I passed out on the couch at home for 3 hours. I was totally amazed!! I couldn't believe I slept that long, I haven't done that in a long time. Sunday night we went to a concert in McKinney. Every year on of the local orthodontists and the Habitat for Humanity host a huge concert in Adriatica in McKinney. This year it was Little Big Town. I don't really listen to country music but it was so much fun to be outside and around all the people. Here is me and Cade: This is me and Becky, and Shannon. You can't really tell because it was dark but there is a huge Hot Air Balloon behind us.
Yesterday, I went and had lunch and shopped with Shannon and one of her friends that she used to work with who now has a little red headed boy. It was fun. Last night Cade and I had a mini date and ate at the Cheesecake factory and then came home and watched a movie on the couch and ate Popsicles. PS- Burn after Reading is the worst movie of all time. I must be dumb because I didn't even get it. Don't ever see this movie if you haven't already wasted 2 hours of your life watching it. haha

Last but not least, I have been thinking of my sweet college roommate today. She started a fun and exciting adventure today. I pray that God uses her and her husband in amazing ways!! I can't wait to hear all of the stories!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY and THANKS to our troops!

Ha! David keeps wanting to rent that movie and I keep telling him "no." Thanks for letting me know not to waste my time. :) Looks like a fun weekend!
