Girls Weekend!

I'm running a little behind on my posts. The weekend before last I got to go to Houston and spend the weekend with my college roommates who are my dear friends. Since college, we have made a point to get together at least once a year. We planned this gathering because Libby will be leaving next month for Sudan with her husband Bryan to do mission work. We will miss her dearly!
We had a great time! On Friday night, Me, Lindsay, Libby, and Lydia flew to Chelsie's house in Houston. We got there around 9pm and ate desert and margaritas! We stayed up and talked forever!! It was so good to get to catch up a little. On Saturday, Chelsie took us to this little pottery shop where you get to paint your own pottery. We painted heart plates for Valentine's day! It was super fun!! I can't wait to see how they all turn out after they are "cooked". Then we shopped some, had lunch, talked some more, and went to dinner at a British restaurant called The Black Lab. On Sunday, we got to visit Chelsie's church where her husband is a minister. It was so wonderful to get to see her house and church and get a little peak into her life now. We spent Sunday afternoon just enjoying each others company one last time. It was really hard to watch Chelsie say bye to Libby as it will be the last time they will see each other before Libby leaves. I'll get to see her again but I'm really dreading telling her bye.
It is really hard to explain the bond I have with these girls. We don't talk as much as most friends, or even as much as I would like to, however they hold a special place in my heart. These girls are the girls that I know will always be there for me, they are always praying for me, and truly wish the best for me as true friends do. They are people I will be most excited telling them new news in my life and they are the people who would cry with me in hard times. I love them more than I can express and I realize more and more the older I get how blessed I am to still have friends like them in my life. They are amazing women and they all inspire me to be a better person.
Girls- I love you. Libby, we will miss you and be in prayer for you constantly. Our "girl weekends" won't be the same without you!
From Left to Right: Me, Libby, Chelsie, Lydia, Lindsay
PS- It was also good to be around people my height again, my girl friends in Dallas are little bity things and I feel like a monster around them :) haha!
